Second, Kate Spade is having an awesome ride colorfully contest on Pinterest to win a Kate Spade Vespa. A VESPA! You should check out my Ride Colorfully page on Pinterest, its turning out to be pretty good!
Thirdly. I think having a Kate Spade vespa would be awesome for my brand Cruising Briskly. Cruising Briskly around town in a Kate Spade Vespa taking photos of all the places I go, the foods I eat, the people I meet and of course the occasional outfit or two. I may have to change my bicycle logo to a cute vespa logo.
Make sure you enter this awesome contest! Or at least follow my Ride Colorfully board on Pinterest. I might (fingers crossed) have my very own Vespa to keep the Ride Colorfully page going!
Yes, you read that correctly Enjoy Your Swimsuit. Swimwear means mojitos & margaritas by the pool. Swimwear means playing on the beach in Costa Rica. Swimwear means having that huge smile on your face because your having fun. Swimsuit “season” has been sending the wrong message for too many years to women that you need to look a certain way in a suit.
Finally back to blogging and damn it feels good! Took a week off to fix up my blog a bit, catch up with work (it’s been busy!), and enjoy the first sunny weekend in awhile.
This nice weather has really inspired me to clean up my closet and get rid of stuff. Holy smokes is it work though! Working at Malia Mills is definitely helping me to try new things. I gotta say, having access to her line is awesome! Can’t wait to buy a suit. (photos coming soon!)
My man just bought himself a new motorcycle, my leather jacket is on the way, and he is sooo excited! Can’t wait to find myself an awesome looking helmet.
Giants games galore! We’ve been to 2 games thus far and both have been incredibly exciting. I can’t wait to go to more, hopefully this weekend against San Diego! Fingers crossed for a day game, it gets rather chilly at night…although I do have a pretty sweet new Giants jacket :)
‘quantum blink’ by chilean born, toronto-based artist isabel m. martinez is a series of chromogenic prints that simultaneously capture two instances in one image. exploring the quantum mechanics notion of consciousness in which our brain recognizes forty individual moments per second, the series seek to illustrate in photographic terms this mental blink.
using masks placed within the camera, the resulting photographs is a composition of vertically running stripes that alternate between the two moments. the holistic image can be read to be shifting or changing depending on the distance or angle from which it is observed.
Getting married tops the charts on what makes a year really special and amazing. 2011 was my year and it was the best year I’ve ever had. All my closest friends and family came together and celebrated, and I mean really celebrated, two young individuals coming together to start something new. We had a week long event to make things really kick off. MD and I rented a really amazing vacation house that all kinds of custom wood work, a huge meadow, and a little cottage aka our bridal suite.
Everything was fairly simple to put together. The place was so gorgeous that it really took care of itself in decoration. Photos were a breeze and the beer was flowing. Yes, we had two kegs. Did I mention it was a cajun cookout for dinner? Yum! I had the wedding of my dreams and it couldn’t of been better. I would never change a thing, everything that happened, happened for a reason. It was perfect.
However, other cool & awesome things happened in 2011! We opened up our own pet boutique in midtown Sacramento. It was fun, but business is tough in this town! Economy still isn’t all that great (FYI). But I learned a lot about running my own business and self-promotion. We closed it in September, I don’t regret anything we did.
MD got a great new job that is going to be moving us to San Fran (woot! woot!). I’m looking forward to starting new adventures out there. Not to mention we can go to the beach with Churro more frequently! And as usual, I have new career prospects in mind. More on that later!
At the end of 2011 we bought our first car together, 2008 Subaru Outback. We love it! I couldn’t of asked for a better car. Thanks Bob Stone!
Now it’s on to new adventures! Social Media Marketing, Racing small and long races, health & fitness, and growing up! 2012 has been off to an amazing start and I hope that it is for you too! After all, we are only 9 days in :-)
I’ve been eyeing the Watermelon bike from State Bicycle for a long time now. Just recently I sold my Marin Road Bike and within hours I bought my lovely watermelon. I couldn’t be more excited! This bike really whips around town. I road it last night to work and I got there just as fast if not faster than driving my car.
I’ve never had bull horns for handle bars before and I don’t think I could go back to anything else. They are much more comfortable than any other handlebar I’ve ever had.
And the color of the bike? Well, let’s just say there is nothing like it! It’s an eye catcher for sure. Watermelon perfectly describes the bike and I absolutely love the brown seat and brown handlebar tape.
Overall, I am incredibly happy and stoked with this purchase! Very quick to ship and super easy to put together. Of course, I have one hell of a handyman….my husband :D
